Bosco Verticale wins International Highrise Award as ‘prototype for cities of tomorrow'


A high-rise ‘urban forest’ in Milan has been selected winner of the International Highrise Award 2014 as presented by the City of Frankfurt am Main with Deutsches Architekturmuseum and DekaBank. Bosco Verticale was designed by Boeri Studio (now Stefano Boeri Architetti and Barreca & La Varra) with developer Hines and engineers Arup. Andrew Burges Architects, Grimshaw and T.C.L. wins Sydney park competition


A team of Andrew Burges Architects with Grimshaw and T.C.L. has been announced as the winner of an open design competition to create a leisure and fitness development in the Green Square district of Sydney. Advertised by WAN’s Business Information Service in March 2014, the competition looked to establish a multipurpose development where local residents could ‘meet and gather, play and exercise’.
