SORRENTO HOUSE BY ROB MILLS DESIGN
A contemporary Palladian villa that unashamedly takes its lead from the great seaside villas but adds an ultra-modernist twist.

Immaculately crafted and highly sophisticated, Sorrento showcases the core ingredients of modern Rob Mills design: a monochromatic palette of exposed concrete and honed basalt; a seamless marriage between its raw elements and the coastal landscape. "A beach house is a place that can offer all the sophistication and convenience of modern life but is cloaked in casual clothes," says Mills.

NEW MISSION HALL BY ADAM RICHARDS
The site for this house is at a prominent bend in the road, where an old drover's track meets a large oak tree marking the boundary of this small rural village in West Sussex, England. The existing building was an introverted former Baptist's chapel suffering from subsidence.
RIO TINTO REGIONAL CENTRE BY GEYER DESIGN
The brief for Rio Tinto's new 25,000 sqm Regional Centre in Brisbane was to create a global landmark accommodation that supports their commitment to their people's safety and wellbeing, fosters a sense of community and supports their business needs now and into the future.
WELCOME TO INSIDE!

We're delighted to feature a profile from transcendent interior designer Ilse Crawford. Her designs range from hotels and offices, to glassware and lighting, and she is the creator of the original 'country house for Londoners' Babington House in Somerset as well as Soho House in New York and Cecconi's in London. Stacey Sheppard discovers what has influenced her work, and how the human perspective is an integral part of Crawford's design philosophy.

Amy Knight's Snapshot interview with Lee Hallman discusses his role as Head of Candy & Candy Design, his work in the 'high specification luxury market', and the demands of working with clients with big budgets and aspirations to match.
