'The most special small department store in the world'

Over a delicious breakfast and much needed fresh coffee, The Conran Shop unveiled the redesigned Marylebone store, a new look space filled with the very best of design and featuring a rooftop apartment, Conran kitchen and flower shop.

It is another significant moment for The Conran Shop since Jasper Conran became Chairman in 2012 and follows the highly successful changes to the Fulham Road store last summer. Jasper and his team have now focused on Marylebone and created a concept that perfectly captures the Conran philosophy for contemporary living.

On the top floor, The Ultimate Conran Apartment is flooded with natural light and features furniture, original art and exclusive objects of desire in a unique Conran edit.

Vintage furniture sits alongside contemporary design classics including pieces by Charlotte Perriand, Eames and Paola Navone. Architectural pendant lights hang over 1950s oak tables from the South of France and a spectacular cased langoustine sits on top of a 1960s Dutch dresser.

Throughout the floor beautiful lighting displays, art and carefully chosen ceramics and glass vases reveal a vision of how an idealised Conran apartment would look.

On the ground floor the newly introduced Conran Kitchen offers exclusive coffee roasts and delicious sandwiches created using the finest ingredients. The Conran flower stall sells fresh bouquets and selections created daily in store.

Also on the ground floor is a vibrant children's shop, gift section, E-Tech, music and fragrances and candles. The second floor features a market feel for the kitchen shop with more than ten elegant table settings providing inspiration for dining along with a lighting section and textiles department.

The Conran Shop opened at the north end of Marylebone High Street in 1997 and played a leading role in the revitalisation of this now thriving shopping district with its charming village atmosphere.

The store has been reorganized, reedited and rejuvenated making it the most special small department store in the world and the perfect destination for modern living.
