Handmade in Britain 13: The Contemporary Crafts & Design Fair returns for the 7th year this November, marking the start of the festive season with 3 days of exceptional contemporary design and craft at Chelsea Old Town Hall, London.

Handmade in Britain

Handmade in Britain exists to support, promote and celebrate designer-makers who create their work in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We increase accessibility and visibility, create market opportunities and maintain high standards in the craft sector whilst providing a comprehensive support programme towards a bright future for British craft and design. Our work provides a platform for design and craft talent through both our own events and collaborations with other organisations, alongside a mentoring programme and membership scheme.

In a show that celebrates the best of British craftsmanship, we look forward to showcasing over 100 makers in all disciplines. This year, covetable interior pieces for your home represent both innovation and tradition, showcasing stunning variety in style, form and function, including...

Furniture

Indulge in something utterly distinctive, in reclaimed industrial lighting and furniture from Offkut and the simple lines and elegant detailing in the furniture of Mark Newson, created to commission with sustainably grown wood.

Textiles

Annabel Perrin's energetic textiles are inspired by British architecture, and Rachel Scott will showcase her signature rugs, handwoven from the select wool of British sheep.

Metalwork

Chris Edwards presents his 'melting candlesticks' collection in silver, with innovative use of glass goblets and antique books, and we look forward to absolute luxury in metalwork in Stuart Jenkins' gleaming, textured vessels.

New Graduate Showcase

Alongside big names and established makers, our annual showcase features the work of emerging talent and this year we are looking forward to celebrating this talent in greater focus. The New Graduate Showcase features 5 selected makers in a dedicated gallery on the stage of the main hall, and presents work that is innovative, beautiful and functional and shows dedication to absolute craftsmanship. Selected for the first edition of our New Graduate Showcase are makers Elaine Bolt (ceramics), Anna Byers (jewellery), Amelia Gibbs (textiles), Peter Kucerik (lighting & sculpture) and Felix Proctor (interior design & accessories).

Chelsea Old Town Hall

The Ornate beauty of Chelsea Old Town Hall has provided the perfect backdrop to The Contemporary Crafts & Design Fair since 2007. Now in our 7th year, we take the venue to full capacity and fill its rooms with a wealth of inspiration and shopping opportunities.

The historic Town Hall building is located on the King's Road, SW3, a stone's throw from the Saatchi Gallery and surrounded by the popular shops, boutiques and eateries of this famous London street. The nearest tube stations are Sloane Square and South Kensington.
