'It is beautiful and very subtle. It's a precious, listed building so they had to do it extremely carefully, and they have, incredibly well. It’s like candlelight.'
Mark Major commenting on the winning project, The Rookery, Chicago by Office for Visual Interaction Inc
Dear INSIDE Reader,

Welcome to this special issue of
INSIDE featuring the winning and
shortlisted projects from the Lighting
Awards.

Judged by our illustrious jury panel
of lighting experts, designers and
lighting architects, the day was full of
animated discussion, including the
panel's decision to introduce a new
category 'Lighting installations' to
acknowledge fabulous projects that
didn't necessarily fall into the two
existing categories.

The interiors team would like to
thank the jury panel for their time
and valuable insight, and
congratulate the winning and
shortlisted projects.
